Windshield Build Help Needed

Ok so it's time for my new windshield.... now i got some u channel but im having trouble figuring this all out.. i want it to sit flush .. anyone have any ideas???

hould i just get a thicker piece of aluminum and bend it in the aluminum break to fit?

Are you looking to make an Acrylic windshield? If so it is going to be a process you might not be interested in. I have build many Flybridge windshields from acrylic. If you want one piece it is going to be a helluva process for you. If you want to make it in sections it is going to be a little easier but still and a big process. Are you ready?

Lexan will hold up better and forms the same way.

Zach.... use the yellow pages and see if you can find a glass/plastic dealer that deals with lexan ....... It is far more scratch resistant and much stronger then "plexi".

Lol,
When you're ready I can help out. If I am going to do it just to show you guys it means I have to buy rubber ply for making a mold for the curved corners.
This will be much easier to do the windshield in sections rather than 1 piece. If doing it in 1 piece I will recommend to try and just find a replacement first.
