I did something ignorant and I think that I got lucky as I just didn't know any better. I have a Maxum 2400 SD with a walk-through Taylor-Made wrap around windshield like all bowriders have. I was out in the gulf and hit a wave just right with the windshield open and it slammed shut. Fortunately it didn't break, come loose or injure me and now I keep it closed when under way. However, I think I damaged the standoff posts holding the windshield as I can lift it and the bolts that go into those standoffs can pull out. Are they supposed to do this normally or do I need to buy new standoffs?
