I have a 1989 Glassmaster 18' Bowrider S187, and the side of the glass on the front windshield that has the walk-through window attached.

It broke, and the glass fell out (but did not break) and it is very obvious it broke before at some point and someone fixed it and put it back together.

Id really like to just get a whole new assembly from another wrecked boat or something, or even buy it new if it was fairly reasonable. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Re: Windshield

e-mail Iboats and ask about their replacement windshield program. I think they have it in place now or will soon. Just the ticket for your situation.

Another option is to search for "boat salvage" and "boat liquidators" on the web and e-mail them with your make/model/year and see what they can come up with.

Also check the yellow pages (remember yellow pages?) for glass shops like prockvoan said. They often work with safety and tempered glass in aluminum frames and could probably make a good repair piece for you.

Re: Windshield

I drew up a pattern to fit a window frame I had salvaged from another boat, I had to cut the frame down to fit. I took the pattern to my local glass shop, they cut it out of regular glass, then ship it off to get tempered. For my 16 foot tri-hull, it cost 35 bucks apiece for left and right window. The walk through slightly cheaper.
