Re: Wine drinkers?

There's a couple others I like if I'm doing something fancy for dinner. The Marley Farms have an excellent variety... I like most of them. Yes, this family is/was related to Bob. They have wine tasing and bring in Reggae bands for the festivity. They're a really fun bunch.

I like lua de luna they mix 2 kinds of wine in one bottle.
Last night we were at Olive Garden last night and they were featuring a Washington state reisling that was very good Can't remeber the name of the wine but they are from Woodinville had to look since I grew up in WA. Speeking of Olive Garden I have always liked there house red Principato Roso. I am sure I slaughtered that spelling. I have also always liked eco dimani espcialy merlot. Also like the yellow tail shiraz. Ok thats all I can think of for now. I admit sometimes I get the cool looking botle and then try to remeber it if it was good.

Same as L-Time. Boones Farm with poultry/pork. Ripple with beef/veal. I don't drink MD 20/20. It's just too bright.

I like red mostly, cabernet and cianti. I also like a port wine once in awhile. I love the house wine at "the macaroni grill"

My company has a facility in europe and I must say that since I drank a bottle of a red Bello (I think?) anything that is made here or made for usa tastes bad and gives me a head ache. Nothing like wine without the poison (preservatives) the FDA forces us to drink hear.

No BoatBouy, it goes like this: Boones Farm for the fair haired Ladies, Ripple for the Brunets and Auburn haired goddesses, which leaves the MD20/20 for those “a little on the trashy side.” :D :D

These are reds

The spanish rioja's are good choice 2001's especially

Mondavi Napa - it has a ripped label

Hawks Crest from stags leap

Firestone

Nostrada

Primavita grape - this is the italian cabernet

========
Higher priced for when you want a fantastic bottle

Gigondas - fantastic 15-20 bottle french wine
Stags leap

Sadly drinking these wines only make you understand how much you are missing, sort of like driving a ferrari for a loaner car then going back to driving the chevy..

One last

Cava's - spainish champagnes - they have to call them sparkling wine because in europe they cannot call them champagnes. Very very nice espeicially with seafoods.

Tomatolord

---------

nothing beats MD20/20 plum on a cold night:) use it as a chaser and its even better.
after that a bit of tickle pink or strawberry hill is acceptable at formal functions, TJ swan is reserved for special occasions.
ahhh nothing like a good screw top wine:)
you can raise the dixie cup and swish it and exclaim how good a week last weeks production was :)

I am fond of Achia Claus Greek dessert wine.

There used to be a Portugese version of it but I can no longer find it.

Black Swan Chard and Merlot, any Lindeman's Bin...
Mumm's Cuvee Napa or Domaine Chandon (both Brut) for special...

Lindeman's makes the only Pinot Noir I've ever seen for under 8 bucks...drinkable, but you get what you pay for.

Barton and Gustier (sp?) Chard and Merlot when I'm not hating the French too much...

And when the Noveau Beaujolais comes in, I'm there.

Rabbit Ridge reds are pretty good for about 10-12 bucks.

Had a major senior moment there.I completely forgot the east block's best kept secret.Hungarian and Moldavian wines. They make a very fine Pinot gris and noir.In fact both resemble the austrian wines.
