New to boating and coming into 1st winter. We have a 15' half cabin with an Evinrude 60HP 1990 model. As our winters here are not harsh (lowest min at would be 37f and average day around 60f) at night we get a bit of frost but even this is rare.

Due to mild winters i was going to :

a)leave the engine down
b)release the winch strap
c)lift the trailer so the tyres don't get a flat spot
d) remove the battery

The boat is has a nylon boat cover to protect it from rain.

My question is, is this enough to make life easiers come spring, and is it worth starting the engine up on muffs every few weeks or would this just carb up the cyclinders?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
