Hello,

I have totally rebuilt my carbs on a 1988 48 johnson spl this past spring,
with all the advice and guidance on the post from this site.
The I-boats forums info is a great resource to tap into advice and guidance from experienced mechanics , boat owners alike.
I gained valuable experience from this site.... much appreciated !
The motor has operated flawlessly this season , after the carb rebuilds.
in fact it has never run better.
As a side note I have used Sea-Foam at every tank fill.
I definitely see the difference in a smoother idling engine and less carbon on
spark plugs.
I plan to winterize as suggested from these post.
My Question is ...... Is it best to drain all the fuel from the 2 carbs by removing the drain plugs on the float bowls ? or is just running Sea-Foam thru the fuel system adaquate?
Whats the Pros and Cons here ? ?
Any helps or sugestions here appreciated !
