Fishtroll-Hope I'm not too late but check around the engine compartment for a fuel/water separator. It will look like an oil filter but will have two lines running into it- one goes to the carburator and one back to the fuel tank. If that clogs, it will shut down the engine just like a bad fuel pump. If so, dump our the contents and buy a new one (Around $10.00). <br />Someone once said that there are few things in life half so much worthwhile as messing around in boats. I personally think he is right. It will grow on you, so stick with it. Good luck!
