Hey Guys, I'm winterizing my 2008 Mercury 135 Optimax. The book says to put " motor " oil in the cylinders and spin the fly wheel. So, should I use my optimax 2 stroke oil or some other 4 stroke like 5-w30 ?

Thanks!

Re: Winterizing Optimax 135 Question

Personally, I use neither. I use a very, very, very, light spray of Mercs' Quik-Stor . My reasoning- Quik-Stor contains enough light lubricants to protect against oxidization, but no heavy lubricants which may cause injector fouling. Opti injectors are pricey and a pain in the butt to change.
