Noooooooooo ....winter is coming !!

In the process of winterizing my Volvo 4.3 GXi / SX , I read that we must add Gas stabilizer and possibly something else like oil since it's an injection (no carb) engine and Fogging cannot be done.

Am I right ?

What would be the mystery additive and what quantity ?

Thanks !!

Re: Winterizing the fuel : stabilizer + ???

You add fuel stabilizer to the fuel tank, but no oil goes in the boats fuel tank.
There is a 2002 service bulletin for a fuel mixture in a remote tank that is used to protect the complete fuel system and engine.

PS: You need to use the FULL model number. Not all 4.3GXi engines are created equal.

Oooook...it make sense now !! Thanks Don !!

But I'm not sure to understand where to use the full model number (4.3 GXi-J) ?

And very sadly, I cannot access the Volvo Penta Online Store as I'm a Canadian...:eek:
