Winterizing, use E-0 stabilized gas or install shut off valve and run carb out of fuel?

Gee, I have never had an issue with E10. It keeps the fuel system clean, and eliminates water in the fuel, or really cuts it down. My water separators have an oz of water or less in them at the end of the season. I only change them when they start to rust on the outside.

On multicarb OB motors, stabilize the fuel and run 'em a few minutes to circulate. Now fog 'em.

On single carb OBs (and other motors like mowers, pressure washers etc.) stabilize the fuel and run the carb dry. Fogging is good, especially if they are to be stored outside. An alternative to fogging is to run some 50::1 stabilized fuel thru the 4 cycle engines.

Im a cheap guy. I run E10 pump swill, no stabilizer in pretty much everything

I do not fog. I quit fogging nearly 30 years ago.

I get about a year before the fuel goes bad. I just took the last of the fuel out of the boat and ran it in the daily whip, truck and lawn mower this past month as the fuel was getting close to 10 months old based on the log

fresh fuel going in the boat next outing

on things like the lawn mower, that will pretty much sit with the fuel in it for a 3 month period between now and Mid January when I have to mulch up the leaves that drop.

the things that get used less like the edger and pressure washer just get run dry and shoved back into the shed. first start up in 6 months may or may not be rough for a short bit.

2-stroke motors just get the 2-stroke oil, except those with a separate oil tank.

the mopeds have been sitting for a while (havent moved since the hurricane last October) , that fuel is toast. can smell the varnish, should have drained the tanks.
