I have a 2005 Larson w the 5.0GL engine. I drain the block(both banks) and both exhaust manifolds. Then I pull the sea water in and out hoses. My question is do I still need to drain the lower recirculating pump hose? It would seem that when I pulled the in and out on the seawater pump...the water from the recirculating pump would drain out.
Thanks in Advance!

I vote yes. A lot of water is stored in that hose going up to the thermostat housing as I recall, some of it due to the sort of downward "V" bend it takes before going up. Once you're started pulling hoses, another one isn't going to hurt too much.

Take all off.
The circ hose has a bend at the bottom that can hold water.
Also maake sure you run a piece of wire up inside the block to dislodge any crud buildup.

Yep there's quite a bit of water that is standing at the bottom of that hose. I just got into a habit of pulling all hoses.

Thanks to all for the help. I got it done last night just before the first freeze.
