Hi All,

Setting up NMEA 2000 with my DF115 (year 2005). It has the 8pin connector from the ECU, 5 wires go to the connector, the colors are: black, gray, orange/yellow, black/green, and yellow.

So far I've figured out that:

Black = ground
gray = pwr/ign

but I'm sure on the others.

NMEA 2000 standard is:

Wire 1 = ground
Wire 2 = power
Wire 3 = data 1
Wire 4 = data 2
Wire 5 = insulator

Can anyone help help me figure out the which are data and which is the insulator?

Thanks!

Josh

sorry, wire 5 is referred to a shield, and not an insulator

anyone have any experience with this? Does suzuki diagnostic port use NMEA 2000 signals or do you need something to convert it?

trying to build my own SMIS cable to go to my Lowrance fish finder that is NMEA 2000.

thanks,
