wire from coil to dist

I know that on my engine, the spark plug and coil wires screw into the dist cap. My question is when I am turning the cable into the coil, is it also being screwed in the dist cap? Kind of like one or the other has a reverse thread to it.

Eric, it pulls hard but it just pulls out of the coil.
