Wire harness ?

I asked not long ago about if the control of a 1979 85hp Johnson would fit on a 1983 70hp evinrude and the answer was yes ( plug&play) thanks tashasdady

I don't suppose the wiring harness would fit too?

it should, both are red cannon plugs, if the new one has trim n tilt, you need those wires also.

Cool, yes the two engines had tilt/trim and the same red cannon plugs, can't get any easier that that
