wired wrong?

I have no problem electrically, but was wondering if it is normal to get a test light to light when going from positive bat. pole to boat hull? Boat is alluminum. I can see no place where neg. wiring is bonded to boat. Only thing I can think of is through motor some how, remote start controls. Thanks

Remote start control will ground the hull. More than likely the motor as well.
