Hello,<br />hope i'm posting this question in the right section. if not, im sorry!<br /><br />setup:<br />1980 15' ebbtide fishing boat, all fiberglass w/2 livewells it has the 3 trim buttons on the dash as well as a trim button on the throttle.<br /><br />1991 johnson outboard 88 horse with trim pump built into the mount.it has 2 wires coming out of the pump motor(blue/green)<br />____________________________________________________<br /><br />question:<br />1)how to wire the existing wiring to the pump on the motor.<br /><br />__________________________________________________<br /><br />the original motor that was on the boat had its trim pump in the boat and had hoses running to the motor.<br /><br />all the original wiring is there(1 solenoid and pump with attached reservoir)<br /><br />the pump that is on the new motor "can" be run by directly touching each of the 2 wires to the pos/neg terminals on a battery, and then reversing the connection to reverse the motor(UP/DOWN)<br /><br />2)does this type of pump require 2 solenoids?<br /><br />anyhelp or links to more information is greatly appreciated.<br /><br />saylor-<br /><br />
