Wiring from Ignition to Solenoid

I have a 1962 wood Mahogany Johnson boat with a 75hp 2 stroke engine, I bought a new ignition and solenoid, and I have really messed up the wiring, could somebody please please send a picture or diagram of how I can rewire it together again. Please I just want to get it out in the water.

I really don't know, I am guessing 1962 2 stroke 75hp. Thanks Hooty for replying

I'm not sure of the wire color codes of an engine that old but I'll try.<br /><br />On the back of the ignition switch:<br />M = Black (ground)<br />M = Black/yellow<br />B (Batt) = Red or Purple/red (12VDC)<br />S = (Start)White (This wire goes to the small + post on the starter solenoid)<br />A = (Acc) Purple (This goes to the accessories that are on when the switch is "on".)<br />C = (Choke, if equiped) Purple/white<br /><br />Hope this gets ya on the water.<br /><br />c/6<br /><br />Hooty

The starter solenoid has two large posts with cables and probably two small posts with wires. One of the small posts will have a ground (black) wire and the other will be the wire that goes to the "S" terminal on the ignition switch. If the solenoid only has one small terminal, it's the one that goes too the "S" terminal on the ignition switch. One of the large cables will go too the battery and the other too the starter.<br /><br />c/6<br /><br />Hooty
