The transformation of the 1987 bass buggy is almost finished, pictures to be posted soon. I bought a nice furniture set "wise" brand. Overall I'm happy with the quality however, the console leaves a lot to be desired. After making cut outs for gauges, swithces, radios and the likes, the structural integrity has been deminished. Yesterday I mounted the steering mechanisim and the added weight and stress of the cable has me concerned. I will be attempting to shore it up today with 2x6's and angle iron. It sure is alot of stuff crammed into a small area, I wish I would have built my own console.
On a positive note, the information that I've read throughout this forum has allowed me to have almost a flawless rebuild of my toon. Thanks to everyone who spends the time to contribute to the forum. I'm sure it is a daunting and time consuming task.
