Wood boat care

Could anyone give me some idea of the frequency and yard costs needed to maintain a wooden boat?<br />Especially;<br />recaulking<br />bottom paint<br />topsides<br />decks<br />Many thanks for sharing your experience.

Becacse of the variables, size of boat, labor rate, salt or fresh water, condition of the hull, type of hull, brite work or paint, plus many other facters your quistion is about impossible to anwser

Wood boats are constant work, but most wooden boat owners consider it a labor of love....if ya just want to boat, go glass...

Unless You are Doing All the Work Yourself,.........<br />You've Got to be a person with ALOT More Cents,...... Than Sense,... To own a Wooden Boat..........

Well, you estimate the sq ft of surface area, multiply that times 3-layers of fiberglass and the cost of resin ...

My grandfather had an old plank Cris Craft Cabin Cruiser I spent much of my summers maintaining-especially if I wanted to get invited on fishing trips in the Gulf. It was constant. As it aged, it got to be more and more to the point it was underwater-literally. I love wooden boats- either other peolple's or from a distance.
