I will be attempting to remove the engine mounts on the 1987 bayliner contessa (OMC cobra 5.7).
I noticed that there are very thin peaces of wood under the engine mount, maybe plywood. One is coming apart and the other seems to be ok because it has been covered with resin.
So is it a better idea to coat the wood with resin vs leaving the wood as is under the engine mounts?
