Works 4 minutes an lose power

I buy 96 montego waverunner and works 5 minutes and lose power after that I turn off and on and works good for other 5 minutes

1. Over heating.
2, Clogged fuel tank vent. If tank can't get air a vacuum will stop the flow of fuel after a few minutes.

loosen the gas cap to the point that air can get through. If the problem goes away, it is a clogged fuel vent line. It is important to note that while you are doing this, don't jump waves or do any tricks. Keep water off of the gas cap.

I lose the cap and still doing the same thing

Does it just die, or does it nose over and give out gradually.
