Who ever said jets won't change the RPM at higher elevation needs to practice a bit at higher elevation....<br />Rich mixture is slow...the correct mixture will provide as much as 500-600RPM from sea level to 5000ft., when compared to running with sea level jets at that altitude. I've done it for 30 years, it's not "practice" for me anymore, it's part of the set-up.<br />As Roscoe has listed, find the jets that meet your requirements and get the most out of what you have. Of course, make sure of the size of jets installed, but anything from the factory comes with sea-level jets.

The important thing that can be checked at WOT is the timing. Previous owners often mess with the timing settings on these engines thinking they are adjusting idle speeds. Too much advance can toast an engine.<br /><br />fp
