First and foremost I am against the cloning of humans. But, sooner or later (if they already haven't in some secret laboratory somewhere) it's going to happen.

Will he/she have a soul?

Could he/she have faith in God.

Could he/she go to heaven?

Could he/she children go to heaven? Would they have a soul?

Would he/she prayers be answered?

Would he/she be accepted as a church member?

Could he/she be a pastor/priest?

Would he/she have the same rights as you and me?

Could he/she be President?

Could "it" believe in God?
Could "it" accept Jesus as "it's" savior?
If the answer to both are "yes", then yes, "it" has a soul.

Would it be too far of a stretch to think that God's ok with cloning since he's made a place in heaven for the souls of the cloned?

Would you then say its ok to rape someone in Gods eyes because those who are born of rape have a soul?

Of course not.

If the wrath of God was brought down because someone got too big for his britches and built a tower too high (oversimplification I know), then it would seem to me cloning might also be stepping across the line (in God's eyes).

Some believe that all the souls have already been created by God and that he inserts them into the "body" at the time of conception. If cloning's against His will, why would he create souls for clones?

As far as having a soul, of course cloned people have a soul. They share their soul with the person they were cloned from. 8)

Whether a person is cloned or conceived the regular way, they are considered unrighteous sinners with the Lord as the only way for salvation. Therefore they would be equal is the eyes of God.
My problem with cloning is why do it in the first place. To produce a super race? For spare parts for the elite?

What if it turns out we're all clones of aliens from another universe like the scientologists believe? 8)
