All of the research I see finds that it is not the fault of the shop I use...

Mine has a triangular fat needle and a loose rubber type seat. Kits have a brass seat assy. and a skinny needle.

I cannot find the right number to get the right set.

Anyone help a feller out?

I keep getting FK10120-1 for needle set and FK10220for a repair kit...

TIA,
Brent

BTW, The numbers on my carbs are WE-9-1 631 061 (X1) and WE-9-2 632 061(X2)
These numbers show my diagram with correct needle in image but same number as wrong needle and seat set.

Are the old ones bad?? Most times they end up being reused.
For some reason they have a hard time finding the right stuff.
Profile?? Location? You might be close to someone who can help???

Yes... one leaks a bit all the time and a second is not sealing great...

Re: Wrong needle and seat kit TWICE 1985-6 85hp.

THe shop I use has gotten the 3 needle kit X3 for me and it seems I now have the right needle and seats on hand... Added bonus is that the 2 that look like mine are identical except one has the float spring while other does not... So I now have a full back up set of needle and seats for this engine...

The shop I deal with is absolutely awesome... Refunding my 3 wrong needle kits and 3 wrong rebuild kits fully... He said i could even pirate the gasket parts and still get my money back. I would hate to do that as he would be literally throwing away money...

So Karma bein' the nice lady she is, made sure that most of the parts are wrong including the float bowl retainer screw gaskets are also wrong... I will send these back with a list of gasket part numbers... One way or another i will make the Owner of Emerald Coast Marine, Kenny Mann, take as much of my money as he deserves!!!

Thanks for the part number and description.... Was what I needed!!!
