Wrong prop?

I just tried out my new tome starcraft superfisherman 19.6footer with a rebuilt 135hp merc on the back.Maiden voyage was mostly uneventful except that I was cavitating a lot before getting on plane. Had to back off throttle to keep from overreving the engine. I feel like I am propped wrong. What is the general feeling here? I am heading to the prop shop Wednesday to see what they have to say. Any suggestions?

If you were in the proper rev range at WOT, the prop is about right. Was the motor trimmed all the way down when you punched it? If you were properly trimmed, maybe the motor is mounted too high.
