TXS, you are an embarrassment. Your "knowledge" of our history starts at Nov, 2002 and even that is mostly wrong.

50 years from now you will be thanking history for GWB.

Re: W's Administration

The Bush administration also used public funds to pay columnists to write articles supporting the administration.

Read about it here.

Of course it has not gone to trial yet but there is the case of Scooter Libby being charged with outing a CIA operative to even the score against her husband.

During the presidential debates Bush stated he could not understand why folks had to buy their medications from across the boarder, and that ought to be changed.

Instead the legislation that gets past does not allow the purchasing arm of Medicare to bargain for better prices on drugs. The VA is allowed to but not Medicare. Medicare must pay the full going rate. Who benefitted from that?

How about the caliber of cabinet level appointees of the Bush administration?

A list of some of the folks and the qualifications.

I am not anti-Republican, I have voted for many of their candidates. But Bush is not and was not the best the GOP had to offer. Just the one the big money got behind early.

Yep other states is correct, and a note for you. The insurance industry makes its profit not from underwriting insurance but investment of your money. Water a short study of the Law of Large Numbers will give you a basic understanding of the process.

My wife can't cook!!!!!
I blame Bush for my migraines too. And the poop in my yard from the neighbors dog. That's gotta be his fault.
Don't forget the dirty dishes in the sink and the fact my boat needs cleaning...darn darn darn him anyway
Taking it to the sublime does not change what is his fault. Weak diversionary tactic, I might add. He is the President of the US, the most powerful person in the world. To treat him as though nothing is his fault is as rediculous as as saying dirty dishes are his fault.

Re: W's Administration

CJY. Treating him as though everything bad is his fault and nothing good is his doing is pretty childish.

Getting a dose of your own medicine? How about this?

You bunch of stupid Bush bashers are as one sided and narrow minded as it gets. You are all stupid, incompetent, dishonest, unethical, scheming liars in cahoots with the terrorists to undermine our country and promote the cause of world anarchy. You seek to have illegal immigrants take over the country and turn it into a welfare state, and, worst of all, you have destroyed the Klamath salmon run in hopes of getting the farmers and fishermen to go to war with each other.

You ought to all be tarred and feathered and run out of the country on rails.

And, oh, I forgot; we know that you are behind Katrina and the '04 tsunami but haven't figured out how to blame them on Bush, too.

There. Now prove me wrong. :D :D

Re: W's Administration

Narrow minded? Show me where you have expressed an openess to another person's opinion. Bottom line, you have not and you are getting ticked at us for not doing what you refuse to do.

I don't really care what you think of me or my ideals. You can call me whatever you wish. It does not change me or my beliefs. It does however, tell us a great deal about JB.

How fast would you have jumped me for calling others stupid??? Or, are you going to say your out is that you covered yourself by stating it is a simple return of "our own medicine," or that you posted smileys? Where have I ever called you or your ideals stupid????? You calling me stupid is not a "dose of my own medicine." Rather, it is a childish attack that you have used when confronted with opposing thoughts. However, if that is how you wish to play, so be it.

Even though I do not expect it to make a diff, you have lost a great deal of my respect for you, if not all of it. You called us stupid??? and childish??? I think calling one stupid really does define one's character. You allowed great insight in just one single post.

I always knew you were not above what you preach. :D :D

Although I have not quite stooped to your level, I still think I have left an out for myself with the smileys?

I would quote Forrest Gump here, but no need. I think you are already aware of it.

Re: W's Administration

I don't usually try to speak for people CJY ,but I think JBs statement was somehwhat rhetorical and challenging a Bush basher to prove him wrong, since many of the anti Bush comments are speculative. The point being ,proving his comments wrong are no more difficult than some of the demanding explanations people seek in their disecting of the Bush administration.Least that's how I took it.

Atta boy JB. Tell em like it is. Useful fools in service to the left spewing half truths and outright lies. Tearing down ones government and employers who may be barely making it if at all doesn't make sense. Suspect most of these bad mouthers are irrelevent and go unnoticed in their own neighborhoods. On the other hand if I am wrong, given their wit and ready supply of solutions to complex questions they must surely all be famous, rich, and their counsel sought by decision makers from far and wide. :D :D :D

Can't stand the heat of baseless accusations, huh, CJY?

Now you know how your continuous Bush bashing seems to us.

Your continuous griping gets very old very fast and it is like a stuck record.

If you have a real issue to discuss, discuss it, but lay off the hate carp. If you don't like being attacked without basis then quit doing it yourself.

Re: W's Administration

Darth, you deserve an honest answer.....
I am a fervant Bush basher because I am unhappy with what I have seen this administation do & not do....
I am especially displeased with the prosecution of the Iraqi conflict & the fact that we went in there half cocked...
I am unhappy with his selections for the supreme court.....
I am unhappy with his pushing to privatize SS....
I am unhappy with his policy towards illegal aliens.....
I am unhappy about his inaction with regard to sealing our borders....
He is so concerned with the Middle East that he is neglecting what is going on in this hemisphere....
I don't think that he is a bad person....
I do think that he is ill equipped for the job at hand.....
I realize that he can't do everything, but he has a responsibility to the public to be smart enough to find the right people to assist him & IMHO, he has failed in that...
Some of the good ones did not stick around (READ:) Colin Powell....
FWIW, that is my answer.......JK [/quote]
I can't support him.....
I don't agree with his agenda & I guess that if that is the Republican agenda, I won't support that either.....
He grabbed onto one thing terrorism I] (Iraq) & focused so hard on it that he can't see past it to effectively deal with the myriad of other problems....
I will not post my monkey pics, but I think they are very representative of the image that he portrays himself to the rest of the world....
Oh, & the wooden-headedness of anti-abortion legislation.....JK

Re: W's Administration

JB,

Did you read my post? You may think what you like, baseless or other. The only "heat" I addressed was that of the personal attack. In that sense, it was a different kind of "heat." If I would call it "heat" at all. If name calling is the game, ok. At least I now know the game.

As I said earlier, say what you will about W, or any other past or future Prez., I don't care. I have never called you stupid for it. You may believe my opinions are baseless, so be it. I however, do not think they are.

"If you don't like being attacked without basis then quit doing it yourself."(JB)

JB, where have I done this to you or anybody else for that matter???????

Re: W's Administration

Just a few questions for the bashers of the current administration:

What planks in the platform of the Democratic Party, or any other party, if put in place, will resolve our national and global concerns?

Specifically, what realistic actions are needed right now to resolve the problems you note in your posts?

What person currently in public life has the will and support to "turn things around" thus addressing your concerns?

Re: W's Administration

My tongue in cheek post was addressed to Bush bashers, CJY. That is mainly txs, HM, PW2 et al, but if the shoe fits. . . .

The Bush bashers have done everything I accuse them of. I am cranky (from the German, "krank": sick) of the persistent trolling with anti Bush drivel and decided to counter attack rather than defend.

I expected to hurt some feelings and to get some outraged defensive replies. That is proof that some can dish it out but not take it.

I agree. No need to bash Bush. The grandfathers of neo-cons, along with their step-sister, are calling the shots and pulling the strings of the Bush marionette. Poor Bush is just thinks he's doing the Messiah's work.

cjy, He is a moderator so he can say anything he wants and it is fine. But if your opinion is left of Attila the Hun you must be careful or he will attack your remarks as out of line and name calling. I know and learned the old way by experience.
