WTH is the starter solenoid.

Great thanks. DIdn't think so but just wanted to double check. At first I thought it was to big and was gonna come up higher than the fly wheel but doesn't.

update this. The engine is firing up great now. Thanks for all the help and insight into it. I feel great that I changed both the starter and solenoid out myself considering I break more stuff than I fix most times
