Y pipe clicking noise and right side very hot ..help

I have searay 250 mercruiser 260 1987y. Boat losing rpm from 3500 to 2500 after 4min. check everything only y pipe clicking noise on bottom and right side is very hot.something is inside?blocking exost?

Is the same side riser hot(er) also?

You may have a shutter that has broken off and is clogging bottom of the y-pipe.

You should be able to pull the drive and look in there from the back and see.

You might also disconnect the riser & rubber hose connection and shine a flashlight down into that side and see what you see. Check both sides.

Yes riser is a little hoter and noise is louder w/ higher rpm. For me noise looks like nuts or pice of metal

Ayuh,... It is, or has been run Dry, 'n burnt up the shutter,...
The rubber is gone, 'n your hearing the metal pieces bouncin' around...
