Runs great, but after beaching and tilting the engine, it often floods and will not start. A service center referred me to the owners manual that states, "Disconnect fuel line when tilted." So I decided not to tilt it anymore, or at least only not all the way. That solved the problem until today.

I started the engine in the manual trim/tilt second position with the engine turned with prop to port. Ran fine for about 30 seconds, then died. Would not start.

Looked at the carb and gas was dripping from lord knows where. Pulled and dried plugs and gave it a few minutes. It started, shuttered and fussed a bit, but soon ran fine. Took it out again later and she is flawless.

Does anyone know what is with the carbs in the 25HP 4-Stroke?
