Hello,
I have a 2003 yamaha hpdi 150 2 stroke. I had an alarm over 4th of july weekend, that kicked my rpm's down to 2000 rpm. I put it in the shop and they found it out to be an over heating sensor. It ran great for about 6 or 7 days over about 3 weeks. Then on a cold start, the alarm came on for about 30 second and then shut off. I kept trying it about 10 times within an hour, and it kept coming on. I put it back in the shop and of course, the alarm will not go back on, so there is no way for the mecanics to hook it up to the computer and find out what is wrong. Not over heating, since it was on a cold start, there is plenty of oil and no water in the gas or oil. Any ideas way the alarm came on breifly and would not come on while in the shop?
thanks, Frank
