My oil doest fill into the reserve tank on the engine. I tried to hit the bypass switch and that doesnt fill it either, If I fill the reserve tank manually it will run fine until it runs low again then the engine alarm goes off and the engine sputters. 2nd issue is when the motor is running at a decent speed if i go through a wake it slows the motor down.

a couple of things here...there is a screen on the pump inside the remote oil tank that should be taken off and cleaned every now and then...clean the tank and test the pump while you have the tank out...a new oil pump runs about $161

Sounds like you need to pull the float sensors or switches in the tank and make sure they are moving and not stuck. Since the one on the motor demands oil fron the one in the boat the one on the motor is the one to check first.

are your gauges telling you anything?

Can you hear the oil pump motor in the remote oil tank when you toggle the manual override switch? if so, check the external filter on the remote oil tank is not clogged. Your Yamaha gauges would indicate all bars flashing for oil transfer alarm.

If you don't hear the oil pump motor, check the wiring harness between the remote oil tank and motor for corrosion. Check the remote oil tank float switch.
