Yamaha 200 hp, driveshaft problem

I have an 88, 200 hp yamaha v6 and im trying to remove driveshaft ,but pinion gear is stuck.<br />The nut is removed and had attempt several ways with no luck.Is there press-on fit or what?<br />It can be also built up with Loctite adhesive and how can i remove that kind of stuff?

hello<br /> have you tried the yamaha drive shaft removal tool? OMC has another nice one. make sure you have removed the 4 bolts in the upper bearing houseing then clamp the shaft in a soft jawed vive and hit the case with a dead blow hammer. or try to reinstall the nut on the shaft then back it off 3 turns and wedge between the nut and the sliding clutch. it is hung on the shaft taper. good luck and keep posting
