Yamaha 200hp LCD Rpm not working

Hello,
I just replace my old Tach and Speed gauges. Replace for the same LCD type found used in good condition. I can't get the reading for RPM's. The wiring has a two blacks one connected and one not. Can anyone help. Thanks

I had a similar problem.. Is the tach powering up? Alot of times the corrosion in the fittings will not allow a clean connection..The corrosion maybe minimal, that is how it was for me.. I ended up cutting connectors off and replacing then did not have a problem since.As far as the black wire I spliced the black into the second black then I got it to work..Dont know if you have the same problem but hope this helps..

all the connectors look clean, I'll go over them. The tach and speed have extra black not connect. Do you know what wire sends teh rpms from the motor. Color?

It looks like the rpms come from the wires at the switch assembly..green,yellow,black and red..
