Yamaha 225 4 stroke 2001 repower question

Hello I am putting on a single Yamaha 225 4 stroke 2001, and the engine came with a dual binnicle, dual wire harness and dual switch. It came off a twin setup. It also has the electronic tach and fuel flow gauges. can I just swap the binnicle with a 704 series and use a single key switch. It looks like the wire harness is actually just two single harnesses.
Any help is much appreciated. Thanks
