Yamaha 225 four stroke problem

Last weekend, I was pulling the kids on a tube and the motor seemed to go back into an idle mode. I immediately turned the motor off and restarted the motor with no problems. It did the same thing about four hours latter.
I tookthe boat to a dealer close to my house and he was not sure what the problem could be. He said that it seemed to be an anti-siphon valve but he couldnt get to the boat for at least two weeks. Not good
What could cause this to happen?

Not much to go on.......first thing I would do is check fuel pressure--it's probably a clogged high pressure fuel pump filter in the VST tank...
