1. Fuel
It would not run and the fuel bulb would loose pressure, got a 5 gallon gas can, new fuel, new bulb ran it to the new fuel filter and it will not stay primed and engine dies.

2. Water pressure
New water pump, gauge, tubing line, thermostats, and poppit valve. It does not have pressure reading at idle, one question is; does the engine have to be up to temperature before it reads pressure? I have water out the tattle tale.

I'm doing all the testing with water ears. Do I need a tank?

What Brand Of Fuel Bulb Did You Replace With ? You May Need A Stiffer Bulb. Or A New Water Seperator.

fuel bulb simply primes the system, once the VST is primed you dont need it.
check fuel rail pressure and test the lift pumps.
a bad diaphram on 1 of the 3 lift pumps can create a soft bulb and a very rich running and once the VST is empty it shuts down.
at idle the 3.1L motors dont hold much water pressure but a pressure guage is no subsitute for periodic maint of the water pump,t stats and pressure control valve and grommet.
once running as the primer bulb is on the pump suction side its normal to have to pump once or twice to get it firm again.
once firm with engine off it should stay hard under moderate hand pressure.
if it wont either the bulb is bad,a diaphram is leaking, the engine filter cup is leaking,a line is leaking or the VST needle is leaking dumping fuel into the intake manifold.
once filled that engine will idle about 10 minutes with just what is in the VST.
