Yamaha 225 SX225

Where could I find the Water Separator model to install for this motor. Having problems, also the oxygen sensor has been replaced 2x before for surging issues, could a novice do this and where would I get parts. On a Ranger 2300, which I think the fuel tank sweats, dealership told me don't need one, but engine keeps surging due to Water or O2 sensor. Any help will be appreciated.

Usually the water separator unit is mounted in the fuel line on the boat. My Pursuit uses a racor water separator/filter unit. You can find one at any marine parts place and most marinas. Good luck

hello<br /> how often are you cleaning the o2 sensor? your engine has a filter monted on the block and another inside the vapor seperator. but I reccomend a good seperator on the hull as well.<br /> clean the filter in the vapor seperator at least once per year and clean the o2 sensor every 100 hours. it takes a special tool and a torque wrench but its all in the manual. yes a novice can clean and test the o2 sensor. to test it on the engine you will need the harness adapter and a D VOM.<br /> good luck and keep posting
