I have a 05 yam 25 4 stroke on a 16 ft Carolina skiff with a light load.. Motor has stock prop but I hear the stock one runs short of max rpms .. The diameter is 9 7/8 pitch is 10 1/2 I don't know the speed or rpms so i don't know how to tell which prop is best.. Can anyonehelp? Should I stick with stock size? Thanks

A 25 seems pretty underpowered for a 16 ft.
You really need to get us the present max rpm and speed.A tinytach is reasonable and easy to install. There is a web site.Be sure to read carefully, give them the details of your motor.Perhaps you can buy or borrow a gps for the speed. How does the overall performance seem to be.Hole shot? Guess speed? The antivent plate(just above the prop should be about even with the bottom of the boat. Most end up a little higher.
