Yamaha 250 mounting

I am considering replacing my 1989 225 HP Johnson with a 1998 250 HP Yamaha. <br />Are the mount hole locations the same or will I have to drill new holes in the transom?

same hole pattern on the transom, as long as the original 225 holes were drilled with a BIA fixture and not free handed.
