yamaha 40 outboard

hi all just bought a yamaha 40 and it is not wired to the remote there is five wires two starts it two stops it can anyone tell me what the other is for thanks

what year and is it a US motor or international?<br /> and where are the wires? what are the colors? should have a round 7 pin or 10 pin connector, depending on the engine

its a 95 model wires are red/brown/yellow+white/yellow+purple/grey they have been cut from the switches im having to put new switches on myself

on a yamaaha the wire colors are red,12v fused from the solinoid main post, yellow is key on 12v, white is kill circuit. gray is visual alarm indicate, green is tach send. blue on the engine is choke(if used) and pink is for audible alarm circuits. black is ground
