Hello,

I have a 3 cylinder 40hp Yamaha 40veo 6h4/s/111404
I believe this to be a 1990/1991 model.

Is there any way to get the number of hours run from the engine (diagnostics)
Will it take a tilt and trim cable?

I also wanted a pull start should mt battery go however this does not look possible.

I am hoping to use this to push a warrior 165 (do you think it will be capable)

Many thanks in advance for your help,

Pete

Re: Yamaha 40 VEO

40hp's a bit small for a warrior.... diagnostics? on a 91 yamaha? no way of checking i'm afraid! pull start is possible if there is a notch in the top of the flywheel as for tilt and trim (powered) its possible but means a whole new mid-section and control box. imho you would be better off looking for a bigger, newer engine with ptt on it already.not what you wanted to hear but you did ask!!
