Hi guys

As a RIB owner here in England i posted this question on a British forum without success so i will try here and by what i have seen on this great site hopefully someone will give me the answer.

I have a 2004 Yamaha 50 2 stroke which i have a problem with the digital tachometer in that the reading is showing 50% of the actual revs. I have played around with the switches behind the gauge but still no joy.

I have connected another tachometer that i could change the timing degrees (?) and managed to get the correct reading.

Can anyone help and point me in the right direction to try fix this problem?

Many thanks.

Re: Yamaha 50 2 Stroke Tachometer Problem

as this is a non us market motor all I can say is most the fifty 2 strokes set at 6 pole setting and some of the four strokes(most) the US motors set at 12 pole.
