I have a 9.9 that won't start after sitting for a month or so. This has happened before and I had a mechanic check it out. He checked all electrical components because I was not getting spark, but found nothing wrong. After putting it all back together, she started right up. He said it was probably a loose wire. If I tried to start it within a week or so it would start right up. After a longer period, it would not. I would then disconnect all wires and re-connect them again and it would start. Now that I have a buyer she won't start at all. I tried cleaning all connections with electrical spray cleaner, but she will not start. The battery is strong, there is just no spark. Any ideas would greatly be appreciated.

Check the kill button to make sure that it isn't grounding and preventing the motor from running.
I had this happen to mine because the rubber cap had started to collapse from old age
