I have a 2007 f150 that I bought new and within a few months thieves stole the cover and ss prop. I purchased a new replacement cover from Yamaha and noticed it does not come with any sound insulation and seems noisy compared to the original cover. I thought the original cover had insulation but did not have long enough to be sure. Do the f150 covers have sound insulation? Is there an aftermarket product that i could use on the inside of the new cover to lessen the engine noise? Thanks for your suggestions / help.

Re: yamaha f150 cover help

I'm 99% sure that my 07 F150 doesn't have any acoustic insulation. I'll double check tomorrow though. If in fact they do not come with insulation, I doubt there's enough clearance between the cover and engine components to add any.

Re: yamaha f150 cover help

I believe you are correct, now that I look there is not much space between the inside of the cover and the motor
Thanks
