Yamaha F225 Mystery....please help.

i have a yamaha f225 3,000 rpm and above the motor picks up and loose power. if i let the motor sit overnight and start the next morning when cold its runs perfect but after 10-15 minutes then the problem starts again. sound like something is shorting out or like its in a retard mode. i checked the vst filter high pressure and low pressure pump is in specs. please help

what was the fuel rail pressure when it acts up?
post a model number. there may be a driver issue.

its reading 44psi and i dont have the model # on hand right now. but its a 225 four stroke year 2003

the 03 models may be under a recall for a regulator issue,throttle link issues and an injector driver issue.
you will need to have a dealer inspect it. the tech bullitens are out.the above recalls,if not already done, are regaurdless of current wannty status.
also loose battery connections can create issues similar to your description.
does hitting the trim UP button make it worse ?
call your dealer with the primary ID and have them download the status from yamaha and they can visually inspect the engine to confirm any recalls done.

your going to have to contact your dealer, I dont know if the recalls are valid for Non-US market motors.
