My trim doesn't want to come up. Was slow when I pulled the boat a couple days ago before the cold snap hit here, (Eastern shore, MD). Had hoped to fish tomorrow but checked trim, pump runs but engine won't come up. trying to figure out how to check and add fluid. It is 3 YO, 4-stroke with 700hrs, (why get it if I'm not going to use it?). Been great and came with an extended warranty, then got an additional warranty in the mail. Liked that. But getting service here can be a real chore so if I can check the small stuff I will.
BTW, anyone plan on going to the Ocean City Optimist club boat show in Feb.?

Re: Yamaha F225

Hi,

Have You checked that the battery is OK and fully charged?
If the battery is some years old maybe it is time for a new?

Unless You have charged it already, do that.

Maybe the battery is to weak to be able to assist trim/tilt up-down.

If your motor spins over then your batt. is good. check your manuel release valve if its tight then loosen it & lift motor to full tilt & lock it. you mite need help at this time it will expose the oil tank remove cap & fill to it drains out of hole
