Yamaha F60 2006 Which wire goes where?!

Hi All

I hope you may be able to help? I've just purchased a second hand F60 with the 704 control box and worked my socks off to get it fitted to the boat. All fueled up and (I thought) wired up. Turn the key to position 1 and the display lights up, turn to start.....nothing....

The question therefore is....

From the 704 box - What should the 2 yellow / red wires be connected to?
From the loom - Where does the black wire go to?
From the loom - what should the Red and brown wires be connected to?

Thank you very much for any thoughts that you may have.

Craig;

I don't have a wiring diagram for the 704 box and can't find one. Do you have the p/n from the box?

Here are the Yamaha colour codes which provide system information as you will see.

It should be pretty easy to sort out but I wouldn't want to suggest anything without seeing the box/ignition switch wiring.

That's it and many thanks for your assistance. I think that should now be self explanatory for Craig.

Craig;

Hope it works for you and let us know if you have any problems.

Great! Thank you very much Gerry and everyone else who spared their thoughts. That did the job.

It turns out that they had cut one of the wires at both ends of the connections (presumably there was a seized crimp and they just 'snipped' it at both sides.

Anyhow, trim now works and engine now runs :eek:) Looking forward to the sea trials.

Thank you again for your help. This forum is a life-saver!
