On my F60 it's very strong tell-tale stream when I use it on the engine flusher.

I have a new 200 HP Yamaha and I keep my boat in a saltwater wetslip. From everything I've read I need to hook a hose up to the freshwater attachment and run the water through it for 15 minutes with the engine turned off. Since I keep my boat in the water, should I do this while the engine is all the way down or do I need to raise it out of the water first?
