Yamaha Gas gauge problem

Just put on a new yamaha 150 4 stroke on my 18 ft Action Craft. The bottom bar on the gas gauge is flashing. The tank if full and has a new sending unit.Any suggestion??<br />Thanks Dan

1. "New" doesn't mean good.<br /><br />2. Wiring problem, look for chafing-to ground.<br /><br />3. Guage.

Hi,<br /><br />According to the Owner's Manual:<br /><br />" The Yamaha fuel tank sensor is different from a conventional-type sensor. A wrong setting of the selector switch on the meter will give incorrect readings. Consult a Yamaha dealer for correct settings."<br /><br />Any help of this?<br /><br />I do not know where the selector switch is on the meter but try to find it and see if changing the settings on it will help. According to the manual it should be here, nr 3:<br /><br />
