I have a 2005 yamaha 90 HP and just bought a new 703 Control, new Yamaha Pro series analo tach and Yamaha water temp gauge. There are two wiring harnesses coming from the control but the wire colours do not relate to the wires on the gauges.
One set of harnesses from the control box is a pair of light blue wires and a pair of light green wires ( I presume these are for tilt data). The other harness is yellow black green and red. What goes where?

Re: Yamaha gauges

out of the 703 box.
light green is auxillary trim down, light blue is aux trim up.
the other harness red is constant 12V,yellow key on power for the gauges, dark green is tach send and black is gauge ground.
there is a harness to go between the 703 and the gauge package.
your going to have to run a seperate wire for the temp between the sender and the gauge.
in order for the tach visual indicates to work your going to have to have the trim/oil warning harness as well.

I made my own wires coming from the motor to the tach and oil pressure and temp. Much cheaper than buying the whole harness which I didn't have. Not sure which three wire I used. i can look If you can 't get it figured out.
